On May 24 2014, Strathroy Pioneer Treadlers hosted the OHS Southwest Regional Seminar Mood Indigo featuring keynote speaker Harriet Boon.
In the afternoon there were 4 different workshops that covered indigo dyeing, weaving, spinning and basketmaking. The seminar was very well attended and 7 guilds from the region participated in the guild displays, "Anything Blue". We had ample opportunity to visit the vendors.
Blue was the dominating colour all through the day but the mood was anything but blue. Lots of chatter and laughter was heard all through the Strathroy Area Seniors' Centre. New purchases were admired and tried out, new skills and projects just made were talked about and proudly shown.
It was a wonderful day. A big Thank You goes to all who helped make Mood Indigo a success.
